Folded Feather provide enjoyable and creative bespoke puppetry design, construction and performance workshops tailored to the age and abilities of participants, whether they be students of performing arts or young children.

Three hour workshop for children 4+
Participants design and construct hand and rod puppets from readily available economical materials such as newspaper and cardboard, then learn how to give them fun voices and imaginative characters.
Starting by drawing ideas onto paper, making sure that the features of the face are prominent enough to see from afar.  
Then forming the face and the hands from cardboard, adding the features such as nose, eyes and ears with the use of adhesive tapes.
Finally adding all the  decorative finishing touches to them so that they are unique and fantastic.

Five hour workshop for Adults/Young Adults
This is a workshop suited to teachers, puppeteers, theatre professionals and anyone with a keen interest in puppetry. 
Through the course of this workshop the fundamentals of Folded Feather's particular approach to Object Theatre and Puppetry are uncovered.
This involves approaching even the most mundane and familiar object/s as an explorer, discovering, seeing and experiencing these items in a fresh way as if for the very first time.
Through a structured and intuitive process participants explore the potential movements of any object until it develops a clear, individual intention and therefore holds a character unique from any other.

Five hour workshop for children 4+Following the same process as the 3hour workshop, but now with time to work on the voices and movements of the puppets.
At the conclusion of this workshop the children will not only have amazing puppets, voices and characters, but also the skills to animate them so that they are truly alive.
